Hello again friends, family and guests. n__n I apologize for abandoning my blog for so long without an explanation. I’ve been the busiest that I have EVER been (so far) these past few months mainly because of school and other priorities. SL pretty much summed it up in the post below hahaha all I have been doing are careplans and study. I need a break!!! Luckily this semester will end in approximately 2 weeks, yay!
So as those of you who have been following me on Facebook already know, I am planning to make my official return to jewelry after finals week. My one and only day of finals is 12/15 so you will definitely be hearing more from me after that! I’ve been itching to start on new things because I have so many ideas! I was so eager to get back to work on my jewelry project that I already ordered some more materials. They just arrived today and as soon as I got home from school I snatched them up and got to work LOL. Ahh~ It relieved a lot of pent-up stress I’ve been having lately. I made a quick necklace with one of the pendants (described more below) and cell phone charm that I will probably give to my mom because my dumb BlackBerry does not have any holes to allow chain attachment.
I know you guys love pictures, so I took some pics of the stuff I made today!

***I am NOT selling cell phone charms (or any jewelry or accessories) at the moment!*** The cell phone charm I made is very simple, easily put together. I just worked with what I have in stock at the moment. I’m planning to make more elaborate ones in the future… I have lots of ideas for cute styles.
If you’re interested in cell phone charms let me know so I have an idea of how in demand they are… the higher the demand the more time I will put into making these look really creative!
***I am NOT selling necklaces (or any jewelry or accessories) at the moment!*** OMG! I am in LOVE with this Swarovski pendant!!! It’s perfect for the winter season plus it looks so beautiful in the crystal AB color. This snowflake pendant is a bit heavier than the heart and flower pendants but not as heavy as the seashell. I like it though because it’s big and heavy enough to hold the necklace chain down so it doesn’t flop so much when walking or running, unlike the more lightweight pendants. Again, let me know if you are interested in this pendant.
Other things that I am going to work on are earrings and bracelets. I will not mention what kinds though, they are surprises!
I have all my materials but I just need to buy a round-nose pliers because this time I will be working with headpins. I am sure I just confused a bunch of you so here are some pictures of what I’m talking about… the round-nose pliers are used to make loops on things like headpins, which thread through beads, to make them attachable to chains, earrings, etc.

Anyone want to get me round-nose pliers before the 15th?
Hehe I have small hands so I’m looking for a small pair, like travel size… I think I remember seeing one at Michael’s when I bought my flat-nose pliers, they were small and had purple handles, so I’ll try going back there again when I have time. But until then, no earrings or bracelets…
Well that’s all the updates I have on my jewelry project so far! I’m not sure if this post is long enough to satisfy those of you who have really been missing me… hahaha! So if you’ve been wondering how I am and what I’ve been up to… keep reading!
I tend to not do so well when the cold weather comes around so abruptly like how it is now, and especially not when the weather is bipolar. Whoever lives in California knows what I’m talking about. I’ve been doing a good job of keeping away from getting sick this semester but earlier today I felt some irritation in my throat and had nonproductive cough until now. I am pretty sure I’m coming down with a sore throat.
I love cold weather but I hate that I get the cold and sore throat so easily!
Hmm my Thanksgiving was alright, I spent it at home with my family but my dad had to leave in the afternoon for church. Black Friday was fun, I spent the day with SL and his family at the mall. He spoiled me again! Argghh! But I am very (and always) thankful for his generosity.
Hahaha. The stuff I did buy, I got pretty good deals on. I helped my parents purchase a new TV which we picked up tonight after my classes and installed ourselves. It’s a pretty sweet TV, I’m very pleased with it, and my parents seem really happy about it too. Yay, we finally have a TV downstairs again! (Long story… hehe) Our “cave” finally upgraded to “hut”! >__< LOL
School-wise I’m doing alright. This semester is medical-surgical and mental health. It’s a pretty tough sem so I’m just trying to get by, but there’s been some pretty interesting stuff that happened. I’m too lazy to type out all my stories lol so if you want to know just ask me in person. I just had med-surg clinical yesterday and lecture and exam today so I’m pretty exhausted right now. But I’ll blog a little about yesterday ’cause there was one part that really affected me. I spent the first half of the day in the endoscopy center, which is located 3 or 4 blocks away from the main hospital, and had to walk there from the main hospital in the freezing cold morning weather. I think that’s what got me sick. Anyways, I got to start 5 or 6 IV’s and watched a colonoscopy and EDG. It was a good experience overall especially practicing starting IV’s. After lunch at the main hospital my instructor sent me to the “step-down” unit which is like a lesser area of critical care. I started another IV there lol. The thing that I mentioned earlier that impacted me took place here in step down, where I was able to interact with my first cancer patient. I’ve had elderly patients on the med-surg floor who had cancer, even multiple incidences of cancer, but they were already exacerbated. This particular patient affected me because he was really young (only 27 I think) and already had stage IV skin cancer. He will be transferred to USC because I think they couldn’t do more for him at our hospital or he would benefit more from treatment there. It’s really sad knowing there is a good likelihood that he will die young… it reminded me that life is so precious. I hope all of you remember that too!
I don’t want to think about school anymore haha it’s sooooo stressful. But I guess I can’t compare it to work, especially when I listen to SL’s stories about work… it’s tough to be a nurse! Tougher than all of you who aren’t in the medical field think! But I believe we will get through this if we have the will and we have the way… aaaaand I do believe we have both! Hehe
Speaking of which, there is a special day coming up in about 5 days… hehehe I don’t wanna give out details for now but I’ll blog about it after that day if all goes well. n__n
Ok I believe this post is long enough now. LOL. More to come in the next couple of weeks~ Take care y’all, get your flu shot and take some vitamin C so you won’t end up like me!
xoxoxo
